Gold Metal Scalloped Bobbin Lace Trim – French

Fine quality antique French gold metal lace is a hand made bobbin lace. Made with two styles of gold metal wrapped cotton threads; a smooth and a crimped, lace is a larger width of 2 1/2 inches and a heavier weight. Scallops measure about 3 inches each. This rare lace likely dates to the early 1900’s or earlier. Gold Metal lace is a bronze gold and in excellent antique condition. Expect the occasional knot in the lace as in all handmade laces.
